Also entitled Beautiful Savior, this 1677 hymn is sung to an engaging Silesian folk melody. The following verse speaks out clearly of God’s power to rejuvenate us:
"Fair are the meadows, Fair are the woodlands,
Robed in flowers of blooming spring;
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer;
He makes our sorrowing spirit sing."
