This hymn has been sung in our church for so many years on Maundy Thursday. This hymn originates from a camp meeting in Virginia which was a time of gathering & worshipping for people under the Protestant faith. Normally on this day at Highland's, we would be gathered together for our Seder dinner, enjoying each other's company and telling the story of Passover and then singing these words.
"What wondrous love is this,
O my soul! O my soul!
What wondrous love is this!
O my soul!
What wondrous love is this!
That caused the Lord of bliss!
To send this precious peace,
To my soul, to my soul!
To send this precious peace
To my soul!"
